JOY! Conservatory Program -
Application and Audition Information
Applications are now being accepted for the 2024-2025 JOY! Conservatory Program!
The deadline to apply is FRIDAY, JUNE 7, 2024.
The JOY! Conservatory Program is open to junior high and high school aged students in grades 8-12 who demonstrate talent, commitment and financial need.
Students are eligible for the scholarship for up to FOUR years. Students accepted into the program may reapply each year.
To apply, students must complete the following three requirements: 1) complete and submit the application form, 2) submit video audition materials, and 3) submit a letter of reference from a teacher or musician familiar with the student’s talents and abilities.

2) Submit your video materials.
Students must prepare two pieces of contrasting style that most exemplify their talent and musicianship for an audition. These pieces should be recorded as two separate videos and uploaded to the JOY! Conservatory Program OneDrive folder.
Specifc instruction for formatting and uploading the video audition will be sent to students upon completion of the application form.
3) Submit a letter of recommendation.
A teacher or musician familiar with the student's talents and abilities should submit a letter of recommendation to Dr. Ryan Burns, JOY! Conservatory Program Coordinator, at joyprogram@uconn.edu.
