Connecticut Women Artists, Inc. (CWA), a premier art organization that has promoted and supported professional women artists since 1929, returns to Jorgensen Gallery for its winter 2025 exhibition. Beginning with a small group of some of the most outstanding American women artists of the early 20th century from central Connecticut, CWA has grown to what it is today – a statewide organization of highly accomplished artists working in various media, including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, assemblage, photography, clay, glass, and fiber. “Calming Chaos”

Calming Chaos showcases Erin Leigh's mesmerizing abstract artistry of dynamic contrasts. The collection celebrates the tranquility and peace that exists even amidst life’s mayhem and discord. Visitors can explore over 30 stunning pieces, including intimate, technically rendered, intricate works on paper as well as large expressive organic imagery on canvas. 
 
A life spent in creativity while working through trauma, this show focuses on Erin Leigh’s eternal desire to resolve the juxtaposition of things that are diametrically opposed. A metaphor for life, and for all those who battle with emotional turmoil, this series seeks to invoke serenity. Be sure to immerse yourself in this visual feast and experience the calm within the chaos.
