Historically, artists have used their respective platforms to share their diverse perspectives. More recently, as the country continues to be divided among several social justice issues, artists are speaking out and raising awareness on these issues to influence positive changes for us all.
At Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts, we strive to be an active part of the conversation by creating a platform for artists to have a dialogue with you, our patrons. We were pleased to continue own Arts & Activism Series by presenting select performances and co-sponsoring lectures from other UConn organizations, including the African American Cultural Center, Asian American Cultural Center, and the Digital Media and Design program in the School of Fine Arts.
